Parking is available in the Campus Center parking garage, though it tends to fill up early in the day. Fall Visit Day guests can also park in numbered lots and metered spots around campus at no charge. Please use the link in your Fall Visit Day confirmation email to register your car in advance.

The URep UMass: Ready, Set, Apply! workshop is an opportunity for students to receive support and resources regarding the application process. Our UMass Amherst undergraduate admissions counselors and current students will walk you through tips and tricks for filling out the Common Application, navigating the application process, and writing your best college essay. Leave this 45-minute session with a step-by-step guide!

Financial Aid Services provides valuable information to students and their families during this important time in the college decision process. In this 30-minute session, learn how UMass Financial Aid can help you, calculate potential costs, and explore scholarship opportunities.

Financial Aid staff will also be available to answer questions at the resource fair, located at near the Campus Center Auditorium and registration, from 8:30 a.m. to noon.

Enjoy lunch at any of our four award-winning dining commons (Berkshire, Franklin, Hampshire, and Worcester), ranked No. 1 Best Campus Food by The Princeton Review. Dine for a special price of $8 (children under 5 years old dine for free; children 5–12 years old dine half price). Lunch tickets for dining commons can be purchased during morning registration or directly at the dining commons.

View a sample student room in Crabtree (Northeast residential area) and Moore (Southwest residential area). Due to privacy and security considerations, students and families will be limited to the main lobby and the sample student rooms in the residential halls.

Tour the university’s award-winning Recreation Center, which provides comprehensive recreation, student development opportunities, and a wide range of programs, services, and facilities.

Tours depart from the member services desk. Take home materials will be available.

The UMass Amherst Makerspace is an interdisciplinary makerspace open to students, staff, and faculty from all majors and disciplines. The makerspace provides access to tools and training and connects individuals to facilitate the sharing of knowledge. Equipment areas within the makerspace include: 3D printing, sewing, electronics, woodworking, metal working, machining, and laser cutting.

11 a.m.–4 p.m.

Visit one of our academic library locations, the W. E. B. Du Bois Library, the tallest academic research library building in the world. Highlights of this building include the lower-level Learning Commons, the breathtaking views from the 23rd floor, the Digital Media Lab, and the W. E. B. Du Bois Center.

On the lower level, the Digital Media Lab provides UMass students, faculty, and staff access to production rooms, sound booths, audio/video equipment, and workstations; spaces and equipment for working with virtual and augmented reality software and hardware; and 3-D printing and scanning services and equipment, in addition to workshops, trainings, and consultations on digital media production.

On the 22nd floor, the W. E. B. Du Bois Center provides a space for students and members of our community to learn about the life, work and legacy of the man for whom the library is named through events, talks, reading groups, outreach and educational programs. Also housed in the Du Bois Library are several campus partners who help support student success such as the Writing Center, the Learning Resource Center, and the Assistive Technology Center.
