Transfer Admissions Requirements

Academic Requirements

For transfer applicants, we typically look for a GPA of 2.7 or higher. However, we use a holistic approach during our review process, taking into consideration factors such as most recent completed semester grades, the rigor of classes taken, grades in courses related to your intended major, and other information provided to us as part of the application.

Some majors are more selective and have specific GPA and/or prerequisite courses required for admission; these requirements can be found below.

For students applying during their first semester of college, we also consider high school grades as part of the decision.

Please note, meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee admission. Additionally, some majors have a limited amount of spaces available; be sure to complete your application by the priority date to ensure full consideration to those programs. Students must be in good academic, financial, and disciplinary standing at all colleges attended to be guaranteed admission. Additionally, criminal histories may also be considered as part of the review process.

MassTransfer Students

MassTransfer students with a 2.5+ final community college GPA are guaranteed admission into a mapped or linked program. Some majors are selective and require a higher GPA and/or prerequisite classes. Apply by the priority date to be given full consideration.

Students who are not in good academic, financial, and/or disciplinary status at all previously attended colleges and/or have a criminal history may not be guaranteed admission.

Selective Major Requirements

Please note: Meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee admission. Additionally, some majors have a limited amount of spaces available; be sure to complete your application by the priority date to ensure full consideration to those programs.
