Confidentiality Policy

Applicants

The primary contact for application status information is the applicant.  All communications about the status of an application are considered confidential and will be with the applicant.  Communications may include: application receipt acknowledgement emails; NET ID/password emails for access to the SPIRE student information system and the application status check web page; reminder emails about missing information or additional items required for an admission review; and/or reminder emails about important deadlines.

Parent/s or Guardian/s of First-Year Applicant

The primary contact for application status information is the applicant.  Communications about the status of an application will be with the applicant themself.  Communications may include: application receipt acknowledgement emails; NET ID/password emails for access to the SPIRE student information system and the application status check web page; reminder emails about missing information or additional items required for an admission review; and/or reminder emails about important deadlines.

Parent/s are advised to be in close communication with their students about individual application status information, admission decision information, and enrollment information. They may also consult the Undergraduate Admissions website or contact the Undergraduate Admissions Office at 413-545-0222.

Parent/s or Guardian/s of Transfer Applicants

The primary contact for application status information is the applicant themself.  The Undergraduate Admissions Office will provide general information to parent/s or guardian/s regarding admission policy or procedure; however, all communications about the status of an application are considered confidential and will be with the applicant themself.  Communications may include: application receipt acknowledgement emails; NET ID/password emails for access to the SPIRE student information system and the application status check web page; reminder emails about missing information or additional items required for an admission review; and/or reminder emails about important deadlines.
