Every year, we welcome more than 1,500 transfer students to UMass Amherst, and MassTransfer students are about a third of our incoming class. MassTransfer students are a highly valued group of students in our community, with each student bringing various experiences and perspectives to campus.

Completion of MTH 108 and BIO 107 or CHM 121 at HCC prior to transferring is required to in order to be able to finish the Vet Tech BS degree in 2-2.5 years (full-time study) at UMass. 

Grades of 73 (C) or higher are required for classes to count towards the Vet Tech major at UMass.
