Transcript Requirements (China)

Applicant: China

Applicants from the People's Republic of China (PRC)

⇒If you are still in High School:

  • Official transcript from Junior Middle School (grade 9) and official transcript from Senior Middle School (grades 10, 11) showing courses in progress (grade 12).
  • Once admitted but before you attend UMass Amherst you must request that your official final transcript(s) from senior middle school (grades 10-12) along with graduation certificate and official Huikao results (if capable) be sent to the Admissions Office preferably via the Common Application. All foreign documents must be in certified English translation. Please note the final transcript must indicate the graduation date.

⇒If you have completed high school but have not previously enrolled in a college or university:

  • Official final transcript for Junior and Senior Middle school(s) along with graduation certificate and official Huikao results. All foreign documents must be in certified English translation. Please note the final transcript must indicate the graduation date.
  • Gap Statement - Students who have not been enrolled in college course work for one or more semesters after high school graduation must provide an explanation about the reason for the gap/s in their education.  This may take the form of a resume, a list of activities, or an essay.
