UMass Amherst has one of the largest and most diversified student activities programs in the country. With over 200 RSOs, there’s no doubt you’ll find an organization that fits your interests or helps you discover a new one.  

You can also join groups at any of the Five Colleges: Amherst, Hampshire, Mount Holyoke or Smith.

Community Service

Giving back to the community is a priority at UMass Amherst and our students have multiple opportunities to get involved. You can get involved with service as a volunteer, through a work-study opportunity or for credit, as part of a course. You may also find that your academic department has a student group that gives back to the community or campus.
