⇒If you are still in High School:

• Official copy of Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE), Council for Indian School Certificate (CISCE), or other examining board test results from Standard X
• Once admitted but before you attend UMass Amherst you must request that your Higher Secondary School Certificate (or state's equivalent) be sent to the Admissions Office (preferably via the Common Application)

⇒If you have completed high school but have not previously enrolled in a college or university:

• Official copy of Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE), Council for Indian School Certificate (CISCE), or other examining board test results from Standard X
• Gap Statement - Students who have not been enrolled in college course work for one or more semesters after high school graduation must provide an explanation about the reason for the gap/s in their education.  This may take the form of a resume, a list of activities, or an essay
