Welcome to the UMass Amherst Student Employment Office

Whether you are looking for a job on or off campus, a work-study or non-work-study position, the undergraduate Student Employment Office (SEO) is the place to start. The SEO provides a listing service with a wide-variety of student part-time and seasonal jobs. We also work with students and employers to make sure they understand all regulations involving student employment and Federal Work-Study.

Community Service and Work-Study

Students who have been awarded Federal Work-Study (FWS) may obtain positions at authorized off-campus agencies. Financial Aid partners with more than 100 community service organizations to provide community service opportunities to work-study students. Students who work in these programs are able to do work that enriches the community while developing important professional skills. Find more information at the Community Service and Work-Study page.
