Pay process & schedule

Benefited faculty and staff position are paid on a bi-weekly basis through direct deposit. New employees receive a hiring package at orientation with the necessary information to enter bank information. Orientations are conducted by Human Resources staff and are scheduled by the employee's department.

How often do employees get paid?

UMass Amherst has a bi-weekly payroll schedule. Employees are paid every other Friday as shown below on the University Pay Calendar.

How can employees see their paycheck? 

Pay statements are available online in HR Direct Login. If an employee has more than one job on campus, they can expect their earnings to be combined in a single payment. However, there may be some instances where separate payments are issued.
