The Employee Accommodations and Absence Support team provides UMass Amherst employees by providing guidance and assistance for workplace accommodations, leave programs, and other adjustments.
Our goal is to promote an inclusive, accessible, and supportive work environment that enables employees to balance their health, work, and life responsibilities.
Services include:
- Coordinating ADA and other workplace accommodations for employees with disabilities or temporary medical needs.
- Managing leave programs, including FMLA, sick leave, parental leave, and other absence types.
- Advising employees and supervisors on individualized support plans to ensure equitable access and participation.
- Providing resources and guidance to foster a safe, inclusive, and flexible workplace.
