Governance: How HR is Governed

About

Modernized HR is guided by clear accountability and structured governance:

  • HR Leadership oversees policy, compliance, service delivery, and strategic initiatives.
  • HRBPs serve as the primary point of contact for colleges and administrative units, ensuring alignment with goals and consistent application of policies.
  • Centers of Excellence own specialized functional expertise, including compensation, recruitment, and labor relations.
  • Employee Experience Unit coordinates service delivery and manages centralized functions such as leave, accommodations, and engagement.
  • Governance is guided by ongoing feedback from the campus community, including surveys, listening sessions, and open communication channels, to ensure continuous improvement, responsiveness, and alignment with campus needs.

This structure ensures that decision-making is clear, responsibilities are well-defined, and HR is accountable to both employees and leadership.
