Centers of Excellence (CoEs)

As part of the HR Modernization Plan, the Centers of Excellence (CoEs) will bring together centralized teams of subject matter experts dedicated to advancing key HR functions and services. Each CoE will focus on a specialized area—such as compensation, talent acquisition, labor relations, or organizational development—providing consistent, data-driven guidance and support across the university. By consolidating expertise and streamlining processes, the CoEs will strengthen service delivery, improve decision-making, and enable HR to operate as a more strategic and cohesive partner to the UMass Amherst community.
