Self-Schedule a Routine Vaccine Appointment

UMass community members can self-schedule appointments to receive the following vaccines at University Health Services (UHS) on the UMass Patient Portal:

• Covid-19
• Flu
• Hepatitis A
• Hepatitis B
• Human papillomavirus (HPV)
• Measles, Mumps & Rubella (MMR)
• MenACWY
• Meningitis B
• Pneumonia (ages 50+)
• Shingles (ages 50+)
• Tdap
• Varicella

How to self-schedule:

1. Log in to the UMass Patient Portal
2. Under University Health Services, click "Get Started"
3. In the sidebar menu, click "Appointments" (on mobile, click 3 lines to expand menu)
4. Select "Routine Vaccine Appointment" and click "Submit"
5. Under "Reason," select "Nurse Vaccine Visit" and click "Submit"
6. Click calendar dates to view available appointment times. Click an appointment time to schedule.

Vaccines for Travel

If you're planning international travel, you may need additional recommended vaccinations. UHS's Travel Medicine clinic provides advice and vaccinations. Call (413) 577-5151 for an appointment at least four weeks before your trip, so you can complete necessary immunizations for your destination.

Covid-19 Vaccine Insurance Coverage

• Massachusetts residents with Massachusetts-based health insurance plans will have coverage for COVID-19 vaccines, consistent with state requirements that insurers cover all state-recommended vaccines at no cost to members.
• Individuals with insurance plans issued outside of Massachusetts may have vaccine coverage under state requirements in their home state. However, coverage may vary depending on the insurer and policy. We strongly encourage patients with out-of-state insurance to contact their insurance company directly to confirm their specific benefits.
