New GIC-Eligible Employee Payroll & Benefits Orientation Schedule

Employees hired into benefited positions (positions eligible for insurance coverages through the Massachusetts Group Insurance Commission / GIC) attend a payroll and benefits orientation session within their first week of benefited employment. At orientation employees are provided instructions on what is required for the University to initiate payment of salary and secure benefits.

Employing departments should schedule new benefited employees to attend an orientation within the employee's first week of employment as failure to submit the payroll and benefit forms timely can result in ineligibility for certain benefits.
