Dental Insurance for Benefited Non-Unit Employees

What the Plan Provides - enrollment in the Non-Unit Dental insurance plan provides:
  • Dental insurance
  • MetLife discount on purchase of eyewear
  • MetLegal insurance coverage
  • Access to purchase MetLife Pet Insurance (pet insurance premiums are not payroll-deducted)
Coverage Effective Date

Benefited Non-Unit employees may enroll for coverage within the first twenty-one (21) days of benefited employment. If hired on the first day of the month, coverages are effective on date of hire. If hired after the first day of the month, coverages are effective the first day of the following month.

Premiums

Employees contribute $11.40 twice monthly for individual coverage or $22.80 twice monthly for family coverage. Premium contributions are payroll-deducted on a post-tax basis.

Enrollment & Enrollment Changes

Employees can enroll for coverage, add/remove dependents or cancel coverage within 30 days of a qualifying event or during October open enrollment for a plan change effective the following January 1 by returning a completed Non-Unit Dental Insurance Enrollment/Change form to the Human Resources Employee Service Center with supporting documentation.

Covered employees can access plan information and download member cards from the plan administrator's website: Health Plans, Inc..
