HR Modernization

Overview of the Modernization Plan

About

The HR Modernization Plan focuses on two main components:

1. Employee Experience Unit

  • Brings together HR Business Partners (HRBPs), Employee Accommodations and Absence Support, and Employee Engagement teams.
  • Provides a centralized, coordinated, and employee-centered approach across the entire employee lifecycle.
  • Strengthens responsiveness, consistency, and support for both employees and leaders.

2. Centers of Excellence (CoEs)

  • Specialized teams in key areas: compensation, talent acquisition, labor relations, and continuous process improvement.
  • Provides expert guidance, ensures consistent application of policies, and supports data-informed decision-making.
  • Enables HRBPs to focus on strategic partnership with colleges and administrative units.

Together, these components create an integrated HR ecosystem that is proactive, transparent, and aligned with institutional priorities.
