CTL Announces 2026-27 TIDE Ambassadors Faculty Fellows

The Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) has announced the 2026-27 cohort of TIDE (Teaching for Inclusiveness, Diversity, and Equity) Ambassadors. The selective fellowship empowers outstanding faculty to transform student learning across cultural, social and learning differences through strength-based, inclusive teaching approaches.

Representing diverse disciplines united by a shared commitment to equity and inclusion, the new cohort of TIDE Ambassadors will extend their learning into their academic units and contribute to CTL's broader diversity initiatives.

Throughout the year, they will deepen their inclusive teaching strategies, reimagine course designs and build meaningful cross-disciplinary collaborations. 

The 2026-27 TIDE Ambassadors are:

  • Gülru Çakmak, Associate Professor of Art History & Architecture, College of Humanities and Fine Arts
  • Jill Hoover, Associate Professor of Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences, School of Public Health and Health Sciences
  • Catrina Kim, Assistant Professor of Music Theory, College of Humanities and Fine Arts
  • Guillermo Matamoros Romero, Assistant Professor of Economics, College of Social and Behavioral Sciences
  • Saketh Sridhara, Assistant Professor of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, Riccio College of Engineering
  • Yiran Su, Assistant Professor of Sport Management, Isenberg School of Management
  • Lisa Troy, Associate Professor of Nutrition, Commonwealth Honors College and School of Public Health and Health Sciences
  • Randy Williams, Lecturer of Operations and Information Management, Isenberg School of Management
  • Sofija Zagarins, Senior Lecturer of Biostatistics and Epidemiology, School of Public Health and Health Sciences
