What happens if I do not complete the training?

System access restrictions will be implemented in phases for employees who have not completed the required training.

14 days after the training is assigned:
You will receive a mandatory sign-in notification requiring acknowledgment. No system access will be removed at this stage. The notification will continue until you complete the training.

21 days after the training is assigned:
Access will be limited to email, HR systems, and Skillsoft Percipio.

28 days after the training is assigned:
Access will be limited to HR systems and Skillsoft Percipio.

When will restrictions be removed after I complete the training?

Applicable restrictions will be removed the day after you complete the required training.

Can my restrictions be removed sooner?

If you need your restrictions removed sooner, contact the IT Service Desk at it [at] umass [dot] edu (subject: ) (it[at]umass[dot]edu) and provide a copy of your training completion certificate.

Yes. Student employees are required to complete the University's annual Cybersecurity Awareness Training when it is assigned to them.

How will student employees know when they need to complete the training?
