The 2025 - 2026 MA Group Insurance Commission (GIC) Employee, Retiree & Survivor Benefits Guide provides an overview of the insurance plans available to benefited University employees for coverage July 1, 2025 - June 30, 2026 (premiums June 2025 - May 2026).

Please reference the 2026 - 2027 MA GIC Benefits Guide for information about coverages July 1, 2026 - June 30, 2027 (premiums June 2026 -  May 2027).

Please note:

• University of Massachusetts employees are not eligible for GIC Employee dental insurance coverage. Please refer to the UMass Amherst Dental Insurance webpage for information about your dental (or dental / vision) insurance coverage.
• GIC Medicare supplement health insurance coverage is available to retirees and retiree's dependents who are both eligible for Medicare Part A at no cost & enrolled in Medicare Parts A&B. The GIC does not offer Medicare supplement health insurance plans to benefitted employees or their dependents.
