Bring a business perspective to solving complex systems problems with UMass Amherst's Master of Science in Engineering Management (MSEM). A collaboration between the nationally ranked College of Engineering and the Isenberg School of Management, this 10-course program engages faculty from both schools for a high-quality, truly interdisciplinary course of study.

In addition to deepening your engineering skill set, the MSEM will build your business acumen. You'll learn to plan projects, manage integrated teams, refine internal processes, and make data-driven decisions that lead to better products. In short, you'll discover the language of business and the discipline to look at everyday management challenges more holistically.

Three options for added flexibility: Complete your degree fully online, fully on campus, or in a hybrid fashion. This streamlined 30-credit-hour program can be completed in 1–2 years.

The field experience concentration allows students to focus on practical application, both inside the classroom through project-heavy courses & far from campus on internships, co-ops, or practicum opportunities.
