The UMass Amherst Community Campaign (UMACC), UMass Downtown and the United Way of the Franklin and Hampshire Region will host a volunteer engagement and matching event on Thursday, May 8, from 5:30-7 p.m. The event, which will be followed by a networking session until 7:30 p.m., will be held at UMass Downtown, the new UMass store and community engagement space located at 108 North Pleasant St. in Amherst.

The fast-paced event will feature brief, lively conversations with representatives from four local nonprofits: Community Action Pioneer Valley, United Way of the Franklin and Hampshire Region, Ancestral Bridges and Dakin Humane Society. Attendees will learn about various volunteer opportunities – both in-person and virtual – and discover ways to contribute their time and skills to support local organizations and strengthen our community.

Light refreshments will be served. Space is limited to 20 participants and pre-registration is requested to reserve a spot.

Metered parking is available behind the building in the CVS parking lot.
