The event will celebrate the wildlife, people, and communities of South Africa while supporting two of Isenberg’s nonprofit partners, the Zululand Conservation Trust and Nourish Eco Village. Both organizations host Isenberg students during the school's annual service-learning trip to South Africa each spring. Through these partnerships, students have helped protect rhinos from poaching, built a playground and computer lab for local children, and gained firsthand insight into South African culture, wildlife conservation and community development.

Proceeds from the event will help sustain the work of the organizations while creating future opportunities for Isenberg students to learn, serve and contribute to communities abroad. The evening will feature South African food and choral music and a discussion with the organizations’ founders. Guests also may participate in a silent auction featuring travel and safari opportunities in South Africa.
