As part of the Office of Human Resources Modernization efforts, UMass Amherst has launched a refreshed recruitment system to support hiring across campus. The system went live on Monday, January 12, and gives the university greater control over how hiring tools operate and how applicants and hiring teams move through the process.
After several years using a shared PageUp environment with other UMass campuses, UMass Amherst now operates its own dedicated PageUp system. This shift allows the university to better align system features and workflows with campus hiring needs.
Updated Careers Page
Applicants now access a new UMass Amherst careers page with a modern design, consistent branding, and easier navigation. The updated layout helps candidates find open positions more quickly and move through the application process with fewer steps.
More Recognizable and Trusted Communications
All system-generated emails now clearly identify UMass Amherst as the sender and reflect university branding. This change helps applicants recognize official communications and supports confidence and trust throughout the hiring process.
Clearer Visibility for Hiring Teams
The new system introduces applicant flags that highlight key information at a glance. Hiring teams can quickly identify union candidates, internal applicants, highly qualified applicants, and candidates with incomplete background checks. These indicators support more efficient review and clearer decision-making.
Offer Letters Managed in One System
Offer letters are now fully integrated into PageUp, with DocuSign embedded directly in the platform. Hiring teams can generate, send, and track offer letters using standardized language and merge fields, while candidates can review and sign documents electronically without leaving the system.
With this launch, UMass Amherst takes an important step toward a more consistent and reliable hiring process. The system improves how applicants engage with the university and how hiring teams manage key steps, from application review through offer. Human Resources will continue to provide guidance and share updates as departments fully transition to the new system and incorporate it into daily hiring practices.
