The SITLess4Brain Lab is seeking participants for a short-term study to help researchers learn more about the relationship between sitting, physical activity and brain health. The research, under the direction of Dominika Pindus, assistant professor of kinesiology, and supported by the National Institute on Aging, is part of the lab’s mission to promote accessible, evidence-based strategies that support long-term cognitive wellness.

Men and women ages 40-75 with no history of cardiovascular disease are eligible to apply for the study. Participants will be asked to exercise on a stationary bike for six minutes in 30-minute intervals, alternating vigorous or light exercise with rest. They will benefit from a supervised exercise test by an exercise physiologist and exercise sessions supervised by researchers.

Three sessions will be conducted with compensation up to $450.

To participate in the study, complete the pre-screening form found at https://redcap.link/hiit2sitless.
