U.S. News & World Report Ranks Online Programs at UMass Amherst
AMHERST, Mass. – Online bachelor’s degree programs at the University of Massachusetts Amherst rank 16th nationally, according to a survey released by U.S. News & World Report, which also listed the university 13th for online baccalaureate programs for veterans.
The list of the 357 schools with the best online bachelor’s programs for 2018 is based on weighted factors in student engagement, faculty credentials and training, student services and technology, and peer reputation.
UMass Amherst’s online bachelor’s degree programs include offerings in business administration, hospitality and tourism management, and nursing as well as those offered through University Without Walls.
In the area of graduate education, the Isenberg School of Management’s Online MBA Program is ranked 16th. The online M.S. program in accounting, also at the Isenberg School, is ranked 36th.
Other program rankings include nursing, No. 39, and the graduate science education program in the College of Education at No. 70.
Weighted factors used in the graduate program ranking process were student engagement, faculty credentials and training, peer reputation, student services and technology, and admissions selectivity. The weighting varied among programs.
