UMassGives 2024 Campaign Takes Place April 24 and 25

UMassGives, a two-day online giving campaign spearheaded by the UMass Amherst Foundation, will launch on Wednesday, April 24 via email, text and social media.

This annual event allows alumni, parents and friends of the university to provide funding allocated for the more than 200 departments, scholarships, athletics programs, internships, undergraduate research opportunities, performance groups, student groups, academic centers, public service efforts and programs that mean the most to them. One of the best things about UMassGives is that robust participation from the UMass Amherst community lets students know others are invested in their success.

Last year, UMassGives raised more than $2 million from more than 9,100 people. Their collective generosity translated into more scholarship support, more experiential learning opportunities and more ways for UMass Amherst students to reach their full potential.

UMassGives donors serve as inspirations to others and their gifts as building blocks. Together, they construct the foundation for an exceptional student experience at the state’s flagship campus.

This is particularly true during the campaign’s Power Hours – the group that brings in the most gifts during a Power Hour earns an additional $2,000 for their cause, while the second- and third-place finishers receive $500 each. Donors can also create challenges, where a certain number of gifts will trigger an additional donation.

UMassGives begins at 12:01 a.m. EDT on April 24 and ends at 11:59 p.m. EDT on April 25. For more information, visit https://umassgives.org.
