UMass Police to Host Job Recruitment and Hiring Event June 27

AMHERST, Mass. – The University of Massachusetts Amherst Police Department (UMPD) will hold a recruitment and hiring seminar on Monday, June 27, at the UMPD police station located at 585 E. Pleasant St. in Amherst. The two-hour seminar will begin at 6 p.m.

Job seekers will meet with current UMPD officers and learn about current and projected openings on the UMPD force, as well as explore UMPD careers at the event. UMPD is seeking entry-level and lateral transfer police officer candidates.

Casual attire is encouraged. Light refreshments will be served.

Candidates will be able to speak to the UMPD recruitment team, tour facilities, view specialized equipment and begin the employment application process.

The UMass police department is a full-service public safety and law enforcement agency that is state and nationally accredited. UMPD officers meet Massachusetts POST agency requirements.
