Hot off a dominating win at Rutgers that changed the national conversation about the team overnight, Massachusetts football kicks off its highly anticipated 2026 home schedule against Sacred Heart at McGuirk Alumni Stadium this Saturday, Sept. 12, at 3:30 p.m.

Led by second-year head coach Joe Harasymiak, quarterback and Springfield native William “Pop” Watson III, and a suffocating defense that forced four turnovers against their Big Ten opponent in Piscataway, the Minutemen will play six games in Amherst this season, including two mid-week, primetime MACtion games in November.
 

This week’s game, as well as the Sept. 19 matchup against Stonehill, will be broadcast on ESPN+. Broadcast information for future games will be posted on the UMass Athletics website.
