UMass Amherst Announces Annual Faculty and Staff Campaign Kickoff

The University of Massachusetts Amherst officially kicked off its 2021–22 Faculty and Staff Campaign on July 1. The campaign will run through June 30, 2022.

Every year, nearly 2,000 current and retired faculty and staff and their spouses or domestic partners make gifts to UMass Amherst. Their support totals more than $1 million annually for the university.

“This university’s greatest strength is its people,” said Chancellor Kumble Subbaswamy. “Our faculty and staff know better than most the great things we can accomplish when we unite behind a common goal. This year’s Faculty and Staff Campaign has the potential to greatly advance the university’s growth in a variety of important areas as we continue our mission of being one of the top public research institutions in the country.”

To inspire generosity this year from across the faculty and staff ranks, the university has again offered $500,000 in matching funds. Qualifying gifts made by current or retired faculty and staff on or after July 1, 2021 will be matched dollar for dollar (up to $10,000 per individual) until the matching funds are exhausted. Gifts made by the spouse or domestic partner of a faculty member, staff member, or retiree will be eligible for the campus match.
