UMACC Nonprofit Fair Set for Sept. 29
Faculty, staff and students are invited to the UMACC Nonprofit Fair on Tuesday, Sept. 29, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in Old Chapel.
The fair marks the opening of this year’s UMass Amherst Community Campaign (UMACC), the university's annual workplace giving program. Representatives from over 30 local nonprofit organizations will be on hand to offer volunteer opportunities and share their work on a broad range of causes, including solving food insecurity, environmental conservation, education, the arts, helping animals and more.
Attendees can also enjoy seasonal treats provided by Auxiliary Enterprises, as well as visit with rescue animals from local shelters.
UMACC makes it easy for members of the university community to support the causes they care about. A single gift can be divided among multiple nonprofits, and gifts may be made to any registered nonprofit through payroll deduction, check or credit card. Payroll gifts start at $1 per paycheck, or $26 per year, with 100% of the donation directed to 501(c)(3) organizations. UMass Amherst does not retain any portion of donated funds.
