As part of campus-wide celebrations for Hispanic Heritage Month, Sept. 15-Oct. 15, the Spanish and Portuguese Program recently brought its outreach to McGuirk Alumni Stadium, setting up a community engagement table to connect with students, fans, and visitors at the UMass football game against Stonehill.

Program representatives welcomed community members to share information about upcoming department offerings, distribute program materials, and engage students through interactive vocabulary and musical challenges for program t-shirts.

A central feature of the game-day event was a live announcement displayed on the Manganaro Family Scoreboard, inviting the campus community to the program's upcoming Open House on Wednesday, Oct. 14, from 5:30-7 p.m. in 301 Herter Hall. The upcoming open house will provide prospective students with information regarding undergraduate majors, minors and certificate options.
