Muscle Physiology Laboratory Seeking Research Volunteers

The muscle physiology laboratory is seeking volunteers for research investigating the role of fat within muscle using state-of-the-art magnetic resonance imaging.

Participants must be 24-45 years old; non-smokers; not pregnant; have no neurological, pulmonary, cardiovascular or peripheral vascular disease; and have no metal implants, pacemakers or anything that prevents undergoing an MRI.

The commitment includes one visit lasting about 2.5 hours and one week of wearing a small physical activity monitor and recording daily activities.

Participants receive $20 cash and the satisfaction of supporting scientific research for young investigators.
