UMass For the Kids Dance Marathon Raises Over $282K for Baystate
The UMass For the Kids Dance Marathon raised $282,123.76 for Baystate Children’s Hospital on Saturday, April 13 in the Mullins Center.
UMass For the Kids (FTK) is a recognized student organization which hosts fundraising events through the year, culminating in the dance marathon.
More than 1,900 students, alumni and community members, who gathered donations prior to the event, danced for 12 consecutive hours, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
23 Miracle Kids from Baystate Children’s Hospital, the local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, also attended the event.
This year’s dance marathon raised almost $70,000 more than last year, adding to the $490,000 the event has raised for Baystate Children’s Hospital over the past four years.
