Gabrielle P. Abelard, clinical professor and director of graduate nursing certificate programs in the Marieb College of Nursing, has been named a Fellow in the Academy of Diversity Leaders in Nursing (ADLN).

Abelard was one of 36 nurse leaders selected as Luminary ADLN Fellows, professionals who have demonstrated excellence in advancing justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion (JEDI) in education, research, practice, policy or administration. Each luminary ADLN Fellow has at least 30 years of experience in nursing and “continues to open doors for greater JEDI in nursing while they continue their innovative groundbreaking work.”

Abelard and the other fellows will be celebrated at the ADLN induction ceremony on Dec. 11 at the New York Academy of Medicine.
