COACHE Launches 2024 Faculty Job Satisfaction Survey

The Collaborative on Academic Careers in Higher Education (COACHE) has launched its 2024 job satisfaction survey to UMass Amherst full-time tenure track and non-tenure track faculty members. The results will guide the university’s strategic investments, programming and policy to improve faculty job satisfaction and retention.

The web-based survey, which was emailed to faculty members earlier this month, is expected to take 25 minutes to complete and will remain open until April 5, 2024.

“We are committed to making UMass Amherst a place where faculty can thrive at all stages of their career. The COACHE survey is an opportunity for faculty members to provide feedback on the faculty experience at UMass so that we may understand what is working, and where we could improve. I hope that you will participate in this important effort as we strive to create the best possible UMass,” says UMass Amherst Chancellor Javier Reyes.

All faculty members who complete the survey will be automatically entered in a drawing for prizes, including a complimentary 2024-25 parking pass and four $100 UMass Dining Cash Cards.

COACHE has been operating through the Harvard Graduate School of Education since 2003. More information about COACHE and the 2024 survey, including strategic improvements that resulted from the COACHE 2020 survey, are available on the Office of Faculty Development’s website.
