To assess and improve institutional supports and structures that are key to faculty recruitment, retention, and success, UMass Amherst has partnered with the Collaborative on Academic Careers in Higher Education (COACHE), a research initiative based at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
UMass Amherst COACHE Action Plan
In Spring 2024, we asked full-time tenure-track and non-tenure-track faculty to share their experiences through the COACHE 2024 Faculty Job Satisfaction Survey. We are grateful to the 674 faculty who took the time to complete this survey and provide us with critical insight into the faculty experience at our institution. This Action Plan details the institutional response to facilitate positive change for our faculty.
