Carbaugh to Address Linguistics Conference

Donal Carbaugh, professor of communication, will present a plenary address at the Georgetown University Round Table on Languages and Linguistics (GURT) on March 9 at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.

GURT 2018 will bring together leading researchers from around the world and from various disciplines to take stock of current research and foster communication across “Approaches to Discourse.”

GURT was first held in 1949 and has been held every year since, covering a wide range of topics differing from year to year. As in previous years, GURT 2018 will lead to a volume of papers published by Georgetown University Press.
