Board of Trustees Appoints Faculty to Endowed, Distinguished Professorships

By unanimous vote at its June 2 meeting, the UMass Board of Trustees made the following appointments to named/endowed or distinguished professorships at UMass Amherst:

Fousseni Chabi-Yo, Isenberg School of Management, was appointed to the Berthiaume Endowed Professorship in Business Administration for a five-year term.

Erin Baker, faculty director of the Energy Transition Institute, was named Distinguished Professor in the Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Department.

Alice Y. Cheung was appointed Distinguished Professor in the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Department.

Ramesh Sitaraman, Informatics program director, was appointed Distinguished Professor in the Manning College of Information & Computer Sciences.
