Anna Nagurney Named a Fellow of the Operational Research Society
Anna Nagurney, the Eugene M. Isenberg Chair in Integrative Studies and the director of the Virtual Center for Supernetworks, has been named a Fellow of the Operational Research Society (ORS).
Based in the United Kingdom, the ORS was established in 1948 as the world’s first operational research society. The society is a professional membership body for operational researchers, data scientists and analysts dedicated to the science and art of problem solving.
Becoming a Fellow of the ORS recognizes the highest accreditation of the society and entails letters of recommendation and support by an accreditation panel. Upon the invitation of the ORS, last December Nagurney delivered the Blackett Lecture at the Royal Society in London. She also serves on the advisory board of the society’s flagship journal, Journal of the Operational Research Society.
Nagurney is also a Fellow of INFORMS, the Network Science Society and the Regional Science Association International (RSAI).
