2025 UMass Extension Garden Calendar Now Available

Each month features:

  • An inspiring garden image
  • Daily gardening tips for Northeast growing conditions
  • Daily sunrise and sunset times
  • Phases of the moon
  • Plenty of room for notes
  • Low-gloss paper for easy writing

This year’s calendar feature article, “Backyard Apple Basics,” located on the inside cover, provides information on this most common tree fruit that is well-adapted to our local climate. The article offers guidelines for proper pollination, effective pruning, how and when to fertilize, and pest management.  It also includes suggestions for apple varieties best suited for home orchards as well as advice on planting sunflowers nearby, which can serve as a trap crop for pests and support for beneficial insects.

The calendar costs $14.50 with special pricing available on orders of 10 copies or more. Shipping is free until Friday, Nov. 1 on orders of nine or less calendars. Proceeds from sales of the annual Garden Calendar benefit the work of UMass Extension’s educational programs.
