What we do
Labor Relations Professionals play a pivotal role in steering leadership and strategic direction concerning labor relations matters, ensuring seamless integration and alignment with both Human Resources objectives and overarching university goals. Their responsibilities extend to negotiating, administering, and interpreting diverse collective bargaining agreements, with a focus on facilitating effective problem resolution and fostering the enhancement of positive labor and management relationships. Labor Relations also is responsible for:
- Providing guidance to the university related to labor union activities.
- Advising managers, human resource professionals and Employee and Labor Relations Senior Representatives regarding union contracts and university policies.
- Collaborating with union leadership to resolve conflicts and establishing proactive labor relations practices.
