What is UMassGives?

UMassGives is a 2-day online giving campaign that harnesses the power of our vibrant community. This year marks the 9th UMassGives, and you can help us make it the best one yet. In 2023, nearly 9,200 people participated in UMassGives. Together, they donated more than $2.9 million to support over 300 different initiatives across campus and beyond.

How does UMassGives work?

Led by the UMass Amherst Foundation, the success of UMassGives is due in large part to the hundreds of grassroots fundraising efforts all over campus. Over two days, our vibrant community uses email, texts, and social media to encourage supporters to give to their favorite academic program, athletic team, research center, student organization, and more.

When is UMassGives?

UMassGives begins at 12:01 a.m. EDT on April 24 and ends at 11:59 p.m. EDT on April 25.

How can I get involved early?

Whether you are a student, faculty, staff, or alum, and you are looking to help a group participating in UMassGives there are many ways you can get involved early to make this year’s UMassGives even more successful. Whether you’re interested in providing a match or challenge, helping to raise awareness for a specific group on campus, looking to make a video that can be shared on social media about why you give back during UMassGives, or whatever other way you are hoping to get involved the first step is contacting us to let us know you are interested.

Can’t wait until UMassGives to make your gift?

Your support is vital to our success, and if you can’t wait to make your gift until UMassGives we understand. You can support your favorite area of campus any day on this website. Just remember, if you make your gift early it will not be able to qualify for any of the matches, challenges, or power hours happening during UMassGives.
