Alfred B. Hudson, 92, of Pelham, professor emeritus of anthropology, died June 12. 

Hudson taught linguistics and ethnomusicology in the Department of Anthropology from 1971-98.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Oct. 5 at 3 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Church at 121 North Pleasant Street, Amherst.
