Five College Digital Humanities Symposium to be Held April 24
The Five Colleges Blended Learning and Digital Humanities Initiative has announced the 2019 Digital Humanities Undergraduate Fellowship Symposium will be held on Wednesday, April 24 at 4 p.m. in Herter Hall.
The free, public event will feature the four projects selected for fellowships, presented by the undergraduate students who worked on them.
This year’s fellows and their projects are:
Kendall Futrell, Smith College, “Bad Books: An Exploration of Censorship”
Evan Young, Amherst College, “‘All of it is a code anyway’: Augmenting a Literary Web for Almanac of the Dead”
Kelly O’Connor, UMass Amherst, “The Archaeology of Marriage in Central Pre-Roman Italy”
Ray Van Huizen and Ella Martin-Gachot, Smith College “Les Clefs de Chez Moi: Queer Home and Home-Making in Modern Paris”
The Five College Digital Humanities Undergraduate Fellowship gives undergraduates the chance to integrate new technology into their scholarship and creative work with both monetary and project support.
