Fall 2023 Rising Researchers Announced

Six UMass Amherst undergraduates have been named Fall 2023 Rising Researchers in recognition of their outstanding research, scholarship and creative activity in a variety of fields. Whether studying disparities in preventative health care, using computing to advance an equitable energy transition or exploring LGBTQ+ experiences through art, the Rising Researchers are helping to tackle real-world challenges and propel society forward. 

The Fall 2023 Rising Researchers are:

• Charlotte Gilson '25, sociology, Commonwealth Honors College
• Adam Forbes '24, food science, mathematics, Commonwealth Honors College
• Dante Lamenza Naylor '24, physics, mathematics
• Anupama Sitaraman '24, computer science, Commonwealth Honors College
• Taras Nagornyy '24, chemical engineering and chemistry
• TJ LaLonde '24, animation
