UMass Amherst: New PageUp FAQ's
Why Make the Change?
UMass Amherst currently shares our PageUp System with the other Campuses (Boston, Dartmouth, Lowell, etc.) After working in a shared system for several years we now have a better sense of what customizations we would like to better meet our own needs.
The Work Underway
UMass Amherst has purchased their own instance of the system that we can customize to our specific needs. A group with representatives from offices across campus are currently working with PageUp to set up our new instance.
What's the Timeline
What’s Staying the Same?
UMass Page Up Users will continue to work with TA and Compensation throughout the hiring and recruitment process. Approved position descriptions that exist in our current PageUp system will be copied over into the new system.
How Will the Experience Improve for UMass PageUp Users?
UMass PageUp users will have menu options and form fields that apply more specifically to their processes.
Viewing candidate statuses during the background check process will be clearer. Internal applications from union members will be easier to identify. Offer letters with standardized language can be created, edited and sent from PageUp.
The physical demands section of the Position Description will allow for text that allows for more nuance in explaining the frequency of physical demands, which will help in evaluation of acomodation requests.
How will the Experience Improve for Applicants?
The applicant portal will have an updated look and feel designed for both desktop
and mobile devices. Efficiencies benefitting TA, Compensation and Hiring Managers will decrease wait times for applicants progressing through the hiring process.
Communications from PageUp will have clear UMass Branding.
Application forms can be customized for different types of roles to require only
relevant information.
Improved Metrics
The new system will allow us better reporting capabilities on metrics like time from
application to hire.
Data can be used to identify bottlenecks and potential areas resources can be
invested to improve business processes.
