This page provides resources that can be useful to faculty and staff at the College of Education.
Common Requests
Communication Requests: Use this form to submit news items for publication in our newsletter and on our website, and to request other communications services.
Facilities Support: Use the resources on this page if you are locked out of your office, and for non-emergency maintenance requests, door access and keys, room scheduling in Furcolo, vehicle reservations, voicemail assistance, and A/V status in rooms.

Parking Services: Visit this page to arrange for access to the lots (66 & 27) nearest to Furcolo, pay tickets, and to learn more about parking and transportation on campus.
Human Resources & Employment
Human Resources at the College of Education is located in W101 Furcolo.
Human Resources for the University has a walk-in Employee Service Center in room 325 Whitmore and can be contacted via email at askhr [at] umass [dot] edu (askhr[at]umass[dot]edu).
HR Direct: Access this site for time reporting, checking paychecks, and other self-service HR services.
Student Hiring: Use this form to request approval to hire a graduate or undergraduate student.
Additional Compensation Request: Use this form to request approval for additional compensation for work such as summer teaching.

Space Request Form for Campus Center and Student Union: Use this form to request a room for a meeting or event (including A/V resources and catering) in the Campus Center or Student Union.
Purchasing & Finance
Financial Services in the College can help with processes and questions related to purchasing and financial matters.
Purchasing and Reimbursement: Use this college form to request a purchase or reimbursement for a purchase.
Travel: Use Purchasing and Reimbursement for reimbursement of travel costs and fill out the Pre-Travel Authorization.
Gift Card Purchasing: Use this form to request electronic gift card purchases for use at events, awards, or Human Subject/research compensation
BuyWays is the University system for managing purchases, purchase orders, and other aspects of procurement. This site has the login and documentation.
Summit: Summit is a web-based tool that delivers PeopleSoft financial data through customized graphs and tables. Use this page to log in to Summit, sign up for Summit training, and access resources to help you use Summit.
educbankcards [at] umass [dot] edu (Bank Cards): Use this email to forward your monthly statements and receipts to FSO for archiving, or for inquiries related to obtaining and using a Bank Card.
Student Scholarship/Stipend Payments: Use this form to request a one-time stipend or scholarship payment to a undergraduate or graduate student. Stipends and scholarships represent a lump sum award and should not be used as compensation for labor.
Academic Resources
The Degree Forms and Milestones page is a central resource for forms including Proposed Program of Study, Completed Program of Study, Dissertation forms, and Degree Eligibility. Be sure to check in with Department Administrators and the Academic Affairs Office for appropriate deadlines.
CAPS (Class Automated Proposal System) is used to schedule new courses. Only trained scheduling representatives may use this system. Please contact department administrators if you need to schedule a course.
FERPA Certification is necessary for staff and instructors who need to access to student records.
Navigate is UMass Amherst’s undergraduate student success system. It offers student appointment scheduling (including 2-way calendar integration for faculty/staff), proactive appointment-based outreach, event check-in, tracking of student interactions/documenting student interactions, reporting and analytics, early alert and referral pathways, and more.

Workplace Learning and Development provides a full range of services to UMass Amherst departments, individuals and work groups with the goal of enhancing both effectiveness and the quality of work life.

University Policies and Union Contracts: This page contains all of the collective bargaining agreements at UMass Amherst, as well as University policies for faculty and staff.
Personal Support
Employee Counseling and Consultation Office (ECCO) is a free and confidential counseling, consultation, and referral service available to faculty, staff, and employees at UMass Amherst.
Ombuds Office assists faculty and staff with a broad range of concerns, including but not limited to: listening to concerns, discussing options, opening communication, navigating the University, suggesting resources, and making referrals.
Work/Life Balance offers a range of programs designed to support faculty and staff in maintaining a balance between home and work responsibilities.
Campus Communities
The Center for Women and Community offers many resources for women at UMass and the Five Colleges, including a 24/7 sexual assault support and advocacy hotline, counseling and support groups, workshops, resources for teens, and much more.
The Office of Religious and Spiritual Life offers a range of educational programs, interfaith dialogue and other bridge-building activities.
The Stonewall Center provides cultural and educational programing and support for individuals who experience harassment and discrimination based on sexuality or gender identity.
