  • If you think you are experiencing a medical emergency, including heart attack, stroke, uncontrollable bleeding, loss of consciousness, or severe abdominal pain, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.

Non-Urgent Needs:

  • Instead of selecting Urgent Treatment Clinic in the UHS QLess Kiosk, you can select Ask a Nurse to request a call from a nurse to discuss a non-urgent health question, or select Request an Appointment to schedule an appointment at UHS.

Urgent Care Hours of Operation

Summer/Winter Intersession:

  • Monday-Friday: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Saturdays, Sundays & Holidays: Closed

Fall/Spring Semester:

  • Monday-Friday: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Saturdays, Sundays & Holidays: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
About Urgent Treatment Clinic

At the UHS Urgent Treatment Clinic (UTC), UMass Amherst students, faculty, staff and their dependents can receive same-day care right on campus for health problems such as:

  • Cold/flu/sore throat
  • Fever/cough
  • Viral illnesses
  • Minor cuts or burns
  • Minor injuries
  • Sexual assault
  • Ear and eye problems
  • Simple removal of foreign bodies
  • Urinary tract infections
  • Rashes
  • Strains/sprains
  • Stomach pain, nausea, diarrhea, vomiting
  • Minor animal bites
  • Asthma and allergies

Please Note:

  • All UTC patients are required to join the virtual waiting room. If you come to UHS without joining the queue, you will be asked to do so by our reception staff. A QR code will be available for you to scan in the lobby. This means you may end up waiting longer than someone who joined the queue before you, even if you arrived at UHS first. We encourage you to join the waiting room online and wait wherever you are most comfortable!
