UMass Amherst Libraries to Host Closing Reception for ‘Our Common Ground’ Exhibit on Dec. 19
In partnership with Building Bridges, UMass Amherst Libraries will host a closing reception for the exhibit, “Our Common Ground,” on Thursday, Dec. 19, from 3:30-5:30 p.m., in the Science and Engineering Library located in the Lederle Graduate Research Center Lowrise.
Showcasing the work of 17 UMass worker artists, “Our Common Ground” highlights how the care for the Earth and for each other is expressed through creative practice.
The reception is free and open to all, with refreshments and live music by the UMass Unions United Labor Chorus, founded by a group of workers at UMass with a goal of building solidarity with and through song.
“Our Common Ground” is a UMass Worker Artist Exhibition presented by the Partnership for Worker Education and the Building Bridges public art and engagement initiative, a collaboration among the Partnership for Worker Education, Human Resources, the Office of Equity and Inclusion, and Civic Engagement and Service Learning.
