In this interactive workshop, Matt Becker, editor in chief of the University of Massachusetts Press, will discuss issues to consider when faculty publish their first book. Topics will include how to revise a dissertation into a book manuscript, strategies for approaching a publisher, and an overview of what the publishing process entails. Faculty attendees will have plenty of opportunities to ask questions throughout the workshop and will gain insight into their own path to the first book.

The workshop is hosted by the Office of Faculty Development, in collaboration with the University of Massachusetts Press, as part of the OFD Scholarly Writing Programs.
